It’s a busy week on Xbox, with dozens of releases between Monday and Friday and four new Game Pass additions along the way: Scramble Knights Online, The Séance of Blake Manor, Mouthwashing and Terrible Lizards. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade also joins Game Pass on Thursday, and Croc 2 and The Wolf Among Us Remastered both land the same day. Here’s what’s coming, day by day, plus a handful of smaller releases.

Dates are UK dates. If you’re deciding what to put in your Game Pass queue, our Game Pass tiers guide shows what each plan includes.

Monday 26 October

  • Scramble Knights Online (Game Preview): a Zelda-inspired, MMO-lite action RPG set in the shared kingdom of Terracott. Xbox Series X|S and PC, in Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass from day one, with cloud play and Xbox Play Anywhere.
  • Also out: Ayasa: Shadows of Silence (Xbox Series X|S and PC), a wordless horror and puzzle adventure, and PAO PAO (Game Preview, Xbox Series X|S), a cosy town-life game.

Tuesday 27 October

Wednesday 28 October

  • SULFUR: a roguelike FPS with fast gunplay and cooking mechanics. Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Not on Game Pass.
  • Also out: Gennady, a roguelike platformer, and Primal Planet, a dinosaur-filled metroidvania (both with Play Anywhere), plus the downhill skiing game SNØ: Ultimate Freeriding.

Thursday 29 October

This is the big day, so I’ve split it up.

New on Xbox

  • Mouthwashing: the psychological horror about a doomed space freighter crew. Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, in Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass, with cloud play and Play Anywhere.
  • Terrible Lizards: a horror parkour game set in an abandoned roadside dinosaur attraction, where you run instead of fight. Xbox Series X|S and PC, in Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass from day one, with cloud play and Play Anywhere.
  • Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos: the remaster of the 1999 sequel. Xbox Series X|S only. Not on Game Pass. Our launch story has the details.
  • The Wolf Among Us Remastered: Telltale’s noir Fables adventure, with a new Noir Mode. It launches on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Not on Game Pass.
  • Also out: Hunting Simulator 3, the retro FPS HYPERVIOLENT, Joe & Mac Retro Collection and The Transference, all on Xbox Series X|S.

Joining Game Pass

Free upgrade

  • Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux: a free next-gen update on Xbox Series X|S, with native 4K at 60fps or upscaled 4K at 120fps, plus higher-quality lighting and shadows. It’s free for most existing owners of either game.

Friday 30 October

Saturday 31 October

  • HorrorVale: Deadluxe Edition: a tongue-in-cheek horror game for Halloween itself. Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
  • Nine games also leave Game Pass today, including Deep Rock Galactic and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Our leaving Game Pass list has the full line-up.

Sunday 1 November

I couldn’t find any notable Xbox releases confirmed for Sunday, so it’s a good day to get through whatever you’ve picked up.

Pick of the week

On paper, Mouthwashing looks like the most interesting release of the week. It’s a critically acclaimed psychological horror about five crew members stranded on a wrecked space freighter. It arrives on Xbox on Thursday as a Game Pass launch, so Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass members can play it at no extra cost, including in the cloud. If you’d rather start with something gentler, The Séance of Blake Manor on Tuesday is the other new Game Pass game worth a look.

Everything above comes from Xbox Wire’s Next Week on Xbox and the Game Pass October wave 2 announcement, checked against the Microsoft Store listings. Release dates can still change. For how Play Anywhere works, see our Play Anywhere guide.
