Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is getting New Game+ on 5 November. Ubisoft announced it in its Assassin’s Creed Fall 2026 Update, presented by Head of Content Jean Guesdon, and calls it one of the community’s most requested features.
The update arrives as Valhalla passes 40 million players. Ubisoft says it’s bringing the “(very, very, very) long-awaited” mode to celebrate that milestone.
Valhalla New Game+ at a glance
- Release date: 5 November
- Consoles: Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S
- Game Pass: Ultimate and Premium
- Patch notes: due in the coming days
How New Game+ works
New Game+ lets you start Eivor’s saga again while carrying over much of your progression, and it comes with dedicated NG+ scaling. Ubisoft pitches it as a way to replay the story, try a new build or take on England again with your favourite gear.
What else is in the update
New Game+ isn’t the only addition. The update also brings:
- An optional progression mode where Gear, Runes and Masteries all count towards Eivor’s overall Power
- New runes and new achievements
- A stash system
- New rewards, including a Master Assassin outfit inspired by Naoe’s look in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
- Mithril, a new resource for upgrading Divine Gear and strengthening runes
- Divine Gear quality for all items
Ubisoft says there’s more to come. Full details will be in the patch notes, which will arrive along with news on current-generation console updates in the coming days.
Could other Assassin’s Creed games get the same?
Ubisoft is asking players to share feedback on the update on Discord, Reddit and its social channels. It says that feedback will help inform future discussions about bringing similar updates to other Assassin’s Creed games, though it hasn’t named any.
Valhalla on Xbox
Valhalla is on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and it’s included in Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Premium, so members can jump in when New Game+ goes live. The same Fall 2026 Update also confirmed that Black Flag Resynced has had its final major update.
