Production of Netflix’s live-action Assassin’s Creed series is nearing completion in Rome. Ubisoft shared the update in its Assassin’s Creed Fall 2026 Update, adding that Head of Content Jean Guesdon has visited the set, consulted on the scripts and met the showrunners.

Hannah Peel is composing the score

Ubisoft also highlighted the news that award-winning composer Hannah Peel has joined the project and will compose the series’ score. Her previous work includes Insomnia, Rogue Agent and Game of Thrones: The Last Watch.

The post includes a behind-the-scenes photo from production, captioned “a glimpse of something we still can’t show you”.

No release date yet

Netflix and Ubisoft haven’t announced a release date. Ubisoft points fans to Tudum, Netflix’s official fan site, for everything revealed so far, signing off with a hint at the setting: “we remain hidden in the shadows a little longer before stepping into the Roman Empire.”

Playing while you wait

If you’d rather be in the Animus than waiting for it, there’s plenty happening in the games on Xbox. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gets New Game+ on 5 November, and it’s in Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Premium. Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has also just had its final major update.
