Conan Exiles: Everything We Know

What is Conan Exiles?

Conan Exiles is an open-world survival game set in the lands of Conan the Barbarian. Players survive harsh weather and hunger, gather resources, build anything from a small shelter to a full city, recruit thralls and fight other players in siege wars. Sorcery lets players summon the undead, call down lightning and ride winged creatures. It can be played solo, in co-op or on persistent online servers.

The game is developed and published by Funcom. It launched on Xbox One on 8 May 2018 and is optimised for Xbox Series X|S. The Isle of Siptah expansion adds a large island to explore and is sold separately. Updates arrive in themed Ages, each with free gameplay additions and an optional Battle Pass.

Conan Exiles on Xbox and Game Pass

Conan Exiles costs £41.99 / $49.99 on the Microsoft Store and supports Xbox Play Anywhere, so one purchase covers Xbox and PC. A Complete Edition bundles the game with Isle of Siptah and all DLC packs, but not the Battle Pass. Conan Exiles is not currently part of Xbox Game Pass.

Conan Exiles Enhanced: coming to Xbox Series X|S in early 2027

On 27 October 2026, Funcom announced that Conan Exiles Enhanced is coming to Xbox Series X|S in early 2027. The release date has not been announced yet. Enhanced brings improved visuals, a redesigned UI, performance and quality-of-life improvements, and merges the Exiled Lands and Isle of Siptah into one connected world.

• Existing Xbox One owners get it as a free upgrade.
• On Xbox, Enhanced will be its own game. The current version will become Conan Exiles Legacy, and buying either version gives access to both.
• Crom Coins, Bazaar items, DLC and Twitch Drops carry over to Enhanced.
• Official Exiled Lands servers will move to Enhanced. Legacy keeps single-player and private servers, but loses the Bazaar and official servers, and gets fixes for critical bugs only.
• Isle of Siptah bases can’t be kept, and single-player saves loaded in Enhanced can’t go back to Legacy.
• Full cross-play is planned soon after launch.

Latest content: Legacy of the Giant-Kings

Part Three of the Legacy of the Giant-Kings story arc arrives on 10 November 2026, giving Akhamet a bigger role in the quest. Funcom has confirmed that Legacy of the Giant-Kings content will be available in Conan Exiles Enhanced on Xbox at launch.
