The Last Case, a first-person body-cam horror game from SOFTPLAY, is coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on 29 October. You play a police officer investigating the disappearance of children, and the trail leads to an abandoned school.

The Last Case is developed and published by SOFTPLAY. It’ll cost £8.39 or $9.99, and pre-orders are open now for £6.71 or $7.99 until 23:59 GMT on 28 October. It’s an Xbox Play Anywhere game, so one purchase covers the Xbox and PC versions.

What is The Last Case?

You see everything through a police body camera. Every moment is recorded and later reviewed at the station, where the footage is used to show rookies how a real pro handles a case.

The case takes you into an old, abandoned school full of dark corners and hidden secrets, and a madman is lurking somewhere inside. You’ll need to follow the clues, which might lead back to where it all began, if you want to put an end to it.
