Conan Exiles Enhanced is coming to Xbox Series X|S in early 2027, and anyone who already owns Conan Exiles on Xbox will get it as a free upgrade. Funcom announced the news on the official Conan Exiles X account and its website today. A release date has not been set.
What Conan Exiles Enhanced changes
Conan Exiles Enhanced is an upgraded version of Funcom’s open-world survival game. It brings improved visuals across environments, characters, lighting and effects, along with a redesigned UI, performance improvements and a range of quality-of-life changes for exploring, building and fighting.
It also merges the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah expansion into one connected world, so players can travel between the two maps without switching servers. Isle of Siptah is still a separate purchase.
“We’ve heard loud and clear from our console community that they want to experience the Enhanced version of Conan Exiles,” said Funcom CEO Scott Junior. “We’re very happy to finally confirm that it’s on the way.”
Free upgrade and two versions on Xbox
On Xbox, Conan Exiles Enhanced will be its own game, separate from the current version, which will be renamed Conan Exiles Legacy. The key points from Funcom’s FAQ:
- Existing Xbox One owners get Conan Exiles Enhanced on Xbox Series X|S free of charge.
- Anyone who buys either version in future gets access to both.
- Crom Coins, Bazaar items, DLC and Twitch Drops all carry over to Enhanced.
- Legacy of the Giant-Kings content and all new Bazaar items released for Enhanced so far will be available on Xbox at launch.
- Funcom plans to keep adding new content to Enhanced through 2027 and beyond.
Before you switch: what Legacy players should know
- Once Enhanced launches, the Bazaar will be switched off in Conan Exiles Legacy and Crom Coins can no longer be spent there. Funcom recommends spending them first if you plan to keep playing Legacy. Unspent Crom Coins carry over to Enhanced.
- Purchases made in Enhanced won’t apply to Legacy.
- Official Exiled Lands servers will move to Enhanced, and characters, followers and bases on them will carry over. Legacy players will lose access to official servers.
- Bases on Isle of Siptah servers can’t be kept, because the island’s position changed when it was merged with the Exiled Lands. Siptah servers will merge with Exiled Lands servers.
- Single-player saves carry over to Enhanced, but once a save is loaded in Enhanced it can’t be opened in Legacy again.
- Legacy stays available for single-player and private servers, with fixes for critical bugs only.
Funcom says more details on how players and private server hosts can prepare will be shared closer to release. Full cross-play is also planned for Conan Exiles Enhanced soon after launch.
Legacy of the Giant-Kings Part Three arrives 10 November
Funcom also revealed that Part Three of the Legacy of the Giant-Kings story arc arrives on 10 November, with Akhamet taking on a bigger role in the quest. More details will be shared at release.
Buying Conan Exiles on Xbox now
Conan Exiles is available now on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One for £41.99 / $49.99, and it supports Xbox Play Anywhere, so one purchase also covers the game on PC. It is not currently part of Xbox Game Pass. Under Funcom’s plans, buying it now means you will also get Conan Exiles Enhanced when it launches.
