It’s out now. Terrible Lizards launched on Xbox on Thursday 29 October 2026.
Is Terrible Lizards on Game Pass?
Yes, from day one. It’s included with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, and you can play it on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and in the cloud. It isn’t in Game Pass Premium or Essential. It was part of Game Pass October 2026 Wave 2, and our Game Pass launch news covers its arrival.

What is the story?
It’s 1992. Your car has died miles from anywhere on Route 66, outside Dalton’s Dinos, a once must-see roadside attraction under the New Mexico sun. The staff have vanished, and a voice on a telephone inside begs you to find a missing child. There are no mobile phones and no help coming, and you soon find you’re not alone. Something dark is lurking below the park.
How does it play?
- Horror meets parkour: run, jump, climb, wall-run, bounce and slide to escape creatures that stalk, chase and charge at you.
- No weapons: combat isn’t an option, so you outsmart and outmanoeuvre your pursuers using the terrain.
- A buried mystery: explore the crumbling attraction and the depths underneath it.
- Environmental storytelling: collect tapes, notes and recordings to uncover what Dalton’s Dinos is hiding.
Who makes it?
It’s the debut game from WDR Studios, founded by the creators behind JTMusic, and Digital Pajamas publishes it. Xbox describes it as a love letter to the games and media the team grew up with.
