Grand Theft Auto VI finally has a release date that looks like it will stick: 19 November 2026. If you play on PC, or stream your PC library through GeForce NOW, that date isn’t yours. Here’s where things stand a month before launch.
When is GTA 6 coming out?
Rockstar’s Launch Trailer, published on 15 October, confirmed that GTA 6 arrives on 19 November 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with digital preloading from 12 November. It has been a long road. The game was first due in autumn 2025, slipped to 26 May 2026, then moved again to 19 November, with Rockstar apologising for “adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait.”
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Not at launch, and officially not at all yet. Rockstar has announced the game for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only, and no PC version is listed on its site or storefronts.
Take-Two hasn’t ruled it out either. Asked about PC on an earnings call this year, CEO Strauss Zelnick called PC “a great market” and said virtually all of the company’s hit titles end up on every platform over time, before adding that “Rockstar Games has announced GTA 6 for console only so far.”
In a Bloomberg interview he said Rockstar goes to console first because “you’re judged by serving the core,” denied that Sony’s marketing deal has anything to do with it, and noted that PC can now account for “45, 50% of the sales” of a big title. At September’s shareholder meeting he added that PC “is becoming more and more important to our company over time.” That’s about as close to a PC announcement as you can get without actually making one.
When could the PC version land?
Nobody outside Rockstar knows, so treat what follows as precedent rather than prediction. GTA V reached PC on 14 April 2015, nearly 19 months after its September 2013 console launch. Red Dead Redemption 2 shortened the wait: it hit consoles in October 2018 and PC on 5 November 2019, just over a year later.
If GTA 6 follows the Red Dead pattern, a PC release in late 2027 would fit. Repeat the GTA V gap and you’re looking at mid 2028. Neither is guaranteed, and Rockstar has already shown it isn’t shy about moving dates. We’ll add anything official to our release calendar the moment it exists.
Will GTA 6 be on GeForce NOW?
Even when a PC version arrives, don’t assume it will stream on GeForce NOW. Rockstar pulled its games from the service during the 2019 beta, and when NVIDIA switched to a model where publishers have to opt in, Rockstar never came back. Today there is no Rockstar game on GeForce NOW at all: no GTA V, no GTA Online, no Red Dead Redemption 2.
Take-Two itself has been coming round, though. Its 2K label now tends to put games on the service at launch: Sid Meier’s Civilization VII arrived in February 2025, Mafia: The Old Country in August 2025, Borderlands 4 that September, and NBA 2K27 has been streaming from Steam since 3 September 2026. Rockstar, owned by the same company, remains the holdout.
NVIDIA’s own support page says GeForce NOW is open to all publishers with no fees, and suggests players ask publishers to opt in or send a request through the app. You can read it on NVIDIA’s support site.
So GTA 6 on GeForce NOW needs two things to happen: a PC release, and a change of heart at Rockstar after seven years of silence. The first looks likely eventually. The second is anyone’s guess. Having the parent company on side can’t hurt, but Rockstar is the one that has to say yes, and we’d be delighted to hear it.
GTA 6 price
PC pricing has not been announced. For reference, the console Standard Edition costs £69.99 / $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition £89.99 / $99.99. Both GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 launched on PC at full price rather than at a discount, so it would be optimistic to expect a bargain for having waited. Patience, sadly, is not a currency Rockstar accepts.
We’ll keep our Grand Theft Auto VI hub updated with any PC or GeForce NOW news as it lands.
