What is Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood?

Set during the Italian Wars between 1500 and 1507, it moves the action to Rome, where Ezio takes on the Templars led by the Borgia family and works to rebuild the Assassin Brotherhood in Italy. Desmond’s modern-day story continues alongside Ezio’s.

As well as combat, climbing and stealth across an open Rome, players can recruit and train Assassins to call on in battle. The game also launched with online multiplayer. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, it launched on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on 19 November 2010 in Europe.

How to play Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood on Xbox today

Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is an Xbox 360 game that plays on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S through backward compatibility. It is not in Game Pass and cannot be streamed with Xbox Cloud Gaming. See our guide to every Assassin’s Creed game on Xbox and Game Pass for the full list.

Editions and remasters

The Xbox 360 version was no longer offered for sale on the Microsoft Store when we checked, so if you do not already own it, the easiest way to play Brotherhood on Xbox is The Ezio Collection on Xbox One, which is in Game Pass Ultimate through Ubisoft+ Classics.

DLC and expansions

The story add-on The Da Vinci Disappearance adds ten achievements worth 250 Gamerscore on Xbox 360 and is also part of The Ezio Collection. The online multiplayer from the original is not included in the collection.

Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood achievements

On Xbox, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood has 60 achievements worth 1,250 Gamerscore: 50 (1,000G) in the base game and 10 (250G) from DLC and updates. By our average across several achievement and trophy guides, it rates 6/10 for difficulty, and a completion takes roughly 30 to 45 hours, mostly for the base game.

Mailer Daemon and Dust to Dust must be done before the story ends. The ten multiplayer achievements can no longer be unlocked since the Xbox 360 online services closed.

Where it sits in the series
