RoadCraft’s third major expansion is out now on Xbox Series X|S. Foundations adds two new maps, seven vehicles and, for the first time in Saber Interactive’s construction sim, pile driving and concrete foundation laying. It costs £11.99 / $14.99.
Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive announced the launch on 3 November, and the expansion is now live on the Xbox Store.

Building from the ground up
Until now, RoadCraft has been about repairing what’s already there. Foundations lets you start new structures from scratch. You drive concrete piles into the ground to prepare a site, then pour the foundations using a concrete mixer and a concrete pumper working together. Piles and concrete arrive as new resources to haul around.
New maps and machines
The two new maps, each four square kilometres, are Spring Renewal, set among the flower fields and windmills of the Netherlands, and Oasis Delta in North Africa, where you’ll repair a giant satellite dish and ancient archaeological sites.
Four of the seven vehicles are brand new, while the other three are variants of existing machines, according to Saber’s update 8.0 patch notes:
- ALCES PL30C Pile Driver: tracked rig for installing concrete piles
- Voltrack Mk11 Concrete Pumper: pours concrete into prepared foundations
- Voltrack MX: concrete mixer that carries and supplies concrete to sites
- EPEC MAG240: magnetic crane for lifting metal debris and recyclables
- Derry Longhorn 4520 HH: heavy hauler with a wider trailer for oversized machinery
- Isonzo M1 Service Vehicle: compact support vehicle for resources, cargo and recovery
- Aramatsu R1 Asphalt Roller: surface preparation and compaction
The free update that comes alongside it adds a minimalistic UI toggle, tutorials for the new vehicles and a pile amount difficulty filter.
Game Pass and the Year 1 Pass
RoadCraft itself is included with Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass, but Foundations is a separate purchase. Saber has also confirmed it is not part of the Year 1 Pass.
The base game supports Xbox Play Anywhere, so it carries across Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC, and it’s rated Mostly Compatible on Xbox handhelds.
