The Planet Crafter is getting its biggest add-on yet. Miju Games has revealed Magnetaris, a premium DLC that lands on Xbox Series X|S on 8th December and drops you on a huge, storm-battered world to tame.

The Planet Crafter: Magnetaris at a glance

  • Release: 8th December 2026
  • Price: $9.99
  • Developer / publisher: Miju Games
  • Base game: Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass; Xbox Play Anywhere

What’s on Magnetaris?

According to Miju Games, Magnetaris is a large, hostile planet ravaged by electrical storms and strong magnetic fields. You’ll need new technologies and machinery to stabilise those fields while you terraform, before uncovering new biomes, mysterious anomalies and remnants of human activity. Expect to “balance the polarity” while building out your base, too.

There’s fresh story as well. The studio teases more of Sentinel Corp’s history, and asks what drew so many people to the planet and why they abandoned it so suddenly.

You can reach Magnetaris through the game’s interplanetary travel system once it’s unlocked, or start a brand-new save on it. It can be played solo or in co-op.

A free moon is already out

Miju also reminds players of Skeo, a free terraformable moon added on 1st September. To get there, you’ll need to fully terraform a starting planet, then build the Extraction Platform and the Interplanetary Travel Rocket. It works with existing saves.

The Planet Crafter on Xbox

The base game launched on Xbox on 21st July and arrived in Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass the same day. The Xbox Store listing supports Xbox Play Anywhere, cloud gaming and handhelds, plus online co-op for up to eight players with crossplay. If you’d rather own it outright, it’s £19.99 / $23.99. Magnetaris itself is a paid add-on. Our The Planet Crafter game hub has the details.
