What is the story?
According to KEMCO’s game page, a toxin called Odium crept out of the earth long ago and poisoned the land. The deity Themis ordered four spirits to lift land that Odium hadn’t touched into the sky. Their power spent, the spirits turned into gems called Artifacts and fell into a deep sleep. That floating land became Shelterra.
Claude dreams of becoming a professional adventurer. With his partner Ignis, he takes a job escorting Luna and her party through ancient ruins in search of Artifacts, and learns that Shelterra is falling. When his talking stone turns out to be an Artifact, he joins forces with the Orlok regime to save the floating continent.
How does it play?
- Exploration: travel freely across the Skyworld and into dungeons
- Battles: strategic turn-based combat
- Skills: learn new skills by fighting specific monsters, with informants giving clues about where to find the abilities you need
- Artifacts: summon them to fight alongside your party, use their abilities, or call on them to protect you from powerful attacks
