Space Rock Breaker is out now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and it answers a question nobody asked: what if asteroid mining ended in a game of Plinko? Developer WAKA WAKA and publisher Games Harbor released it on 30 October 2026.

It costs £4.99 (US$5.99) on the Microsoft Store, and Smart Delivery means one purchase covers both console generations.

Blast it, then bounce it

Games Harbor calls it a short incremental space arcade game. You pilot a mining ship and break up asteroids with lasers, guns and missiles to collect ore. Then the ore goes back to the ship, where you drop it into an upgradeable, physics-based Plinko machine. Watching it bounce through the pegs multiplies your profits and earns credits.

Those credits go into a big skill tree, which lets you upgrade your ship and unlock new weapons, missiles and lasers. Head further out and you’ll find rarer, more valuable materials, plus lootboxes with secret progression bonuses.

  • Two-part loop: fast arcade mining, followed by physics-based Plinko.
  • Ore processing: the Plinko board can be upgraded, and landing ore in the right zone triggers credit multipliers.
  • Progression: a large skill tree for customising your ship and its arsenal.
  • Exploration: rare materials and lootboxes further into the cosmos.
  • Bite-sized: built for quick sessions as well as longer ones.

Yes, there’s an achievement for crashing your spacecraft. It’s called “Oops”, and it’s worth 50 Gamerscore. Space Rock Breaker has 15 achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore in total, according to Exophase.
