What is SNØ: Ultimate Freeriding?

It’s a downhill skiing game with a minimalist design, built around the pure joy of carving through snow. Two developers in Norway made it, aiming for instant action, smooth controls and quick, satisfying sessions. Read our launch report.

How does it play?

You ride down endless procedurally generated mountains, pull off high-risk proximity tricks near obstacles and aim for the high score. Mastering the controls and terrain is the key to the best scores.

What riding styles are there?

Skis, snowboard and sit-ski.

Are there leaderboards?

Yes, global and friends leaderboards. You can visit top-scoring mountains directly from them, and share and revisit mountains using seeds.

Is there a relaxed mode?

Yes. ZEN mode removes scores entirely, leaving just you and the mountain.

What else is in the game?

Skins that unlock through skill, first-person, third-person and drone cameras, and a photo mode. It’s single-player only, with no online multiplayer.

Is it on Xbox Play Anywhere?

Yes. One purchase covers Xbox Series X|S and PC.

How much does it cost?

£10.49 / $13.99.

Is SNØ: Ultimate Freeriding on Game Pass?

No, it isn’t part of Game Pass.

Visit our SNØ: Ultimate Freeriding hub for the essentials, or find it on the Xbox Store. We’ll update this page as new content arrives.
