If you’d rather buy it, it costs £15.74 / $19.99, and pre-orders are open now on the Xbox Store.
What is TANUKI: Pon’s Summer about?
You play as Pon, a part-time mail-delivery tanuki and full-time show-off, trying to restore the Great Tanuki Shrine before the festival at the end of summer. It’s set on a colourful fictional Japanese island.
How does it play?
You deliver letters and packages by BMX, working out how to get awkwardly sized and weighted parcels to the right door. Between deliveries, you can launch off ramps, grind rails and chain tricks across more than 100 BMX challenges. Making friends with the islanders unlocks activities such as sushi-making, baseball and sumo, and everything you earn goes into building, upgrading and decorating the shrine.
Who is making it?
TANUKI: Pon’s Summer is the debut game from Denkiworks, a Kyoto-based studio founded by former members of the team behind Cursed to Golf. It’s published by CRITICAL REFLEX.
