Bloober Team has dated Cronos: Lazarus, the first DLC for Cronos: The New Dawn. It launches on Xbox Series X|S on 3 December 2026, priced at $9.99, and a new story trailer introduces the hunter sent to stop you.

The Warden’s origin story

Set before the original game, Cronos: Lazarus puts you in the role of the Pathfinder, an agent of the Collective, and shows the events that led to his transformation into the Warden. Isolated and cut off from the Collective, he is trying to revive a lost Essence, a mission the organisation must never uncover.

Standing in his way is the Tracker, a relentless envoy of the Collective sent to hunt him down. The DLC also reveals more about the Collective and what happens to those who defy it.

Bloober Team says the expansion keeps the oppressive atmosphere and resource-driven survival of the base game but shifts to faster, more aggressive combat. New abilities include teleportation for quick repositioning and a decoy that distracts enemies while briefly making the Pathfinder invisible. There’s also a new weapon, the Gladius, which is faster and deadlier than the original game’s dagger.

You can watch the Cronos: Lazarus story trailer on Bloober Team’s YouTube channel.

Cronos: The New Dawn is half price for Halloween

If you haven’t played the base game yet, Cronos: The New Dawn is 50% off on the Xbox Store for Halloween, down to £24.99 / $29.99 until 5 November. It’s an Xbox Play Anywhere game. Bloober Team says it recouped its development costs within nine months of release, and it won three awards at Digital Dragons 2026, including Game of the Year.
