What is War Robots?

It’s a tactical shooter about giant mechs, played in online PvP battles. There are more than 50 robots with their own designs and powers, and you fit each one with weapons, modules, pilots and drones. Weapons range from ballistic missiles to plasma cannons and heavy shotguns.

Which modes are there?

The classic mode is Beacon Rush. You can also go solo in Arena or Free-for-All, or take on PvE fights. Clans let you team up with regular squadmates.

How does War Robots work on Xbox?

You search for War Robots on the Xbox Store and download it for free. Matchmaking puts Xbox players in with players on every other version of the game. Account transfer isn’t available on consoles yet; MY.GAMES says it will update players when it is. The Xbox version supports Smart Delivery.

What’s in Update 12.5?

Halloween Interlopers is inspired by H.G. Wells’ The War of the Worlds and runs with daily rewards. Its headline robot, Nekton, is a tripod that turns into a flying saucer with an Absorber shield and a built-in BLAST beam. It has one heavy and three light weapon slots.

  • Mesmer L, M and H: energy beam weapons with a 600 m range that stack BLAST.
  • Object: a drone for flying and Absorber-shielded robots.
  • Roswell: a mothership that lifts your robot above the battlefield.
  • Ultimate Loki and Ultimate Gust: Loki turns invisible after a kill and switches modes faster.
  • Pilots: The Martian, Orson Barret and Darian Grief.
  • Ground Zero: a tactical shift that rewards holding the central point.

Completing the event earns the Halloween Interloper title. The update also changes the Unstable Conduit module and includes balance changes.

We’ll update this page as new updates land. Everything else lives on our War Robots hub. Which robot is in your hangar? Tell us on X or Facebook.
