Witchbrook Launches on Xbox and Game Pass on 28 January 2027

Witchbrook launches on 28 January 2027 for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, and it’s coming to Game Pass on day one.

Chucklefish has finally given Witchbrook a release date. Its magical life sim, co-developed with Robotality, has a new gameplay trailer and will cost $24.99. Other regional prices, including GBP, will be confirmed closer to launch.

The team thanked fans for “all of your support and patience, especially within the last year, while we took the additional time to make a game we’re truly proud of.”

Life at Witchbrook College

You enrol as a witch-in-training at Witchbrook College in the seaside town of Mossport. You’ll attend classes in Alchemy, Astrology, Tarot, Rituals and more, complete assignments, sit exams and unlock spells on the way to graduation.

Between lessons, you can make friends and find romance, start a witch business helping locals, join a club, go to seasonal events, or spend time birdwatching, bug-catching and fishing. You can also renovate your woodland cottage and garden and customise your witch’s look, and up to four players can share the whole thing in online co-op.

What’s in the new trailer

The release date trailer shows classes, spellcasting, studying, exams, library browsing, salve and potion-making, tarot readings and some of Witchbrook’s magical creatures. It also introduces the college’s ghostly Chancellor, whom students have nicknamed “The Deadmaster”.

Chucklefish has also introduced a new covenmate, Kiara Chandra, a sardonic post-grad student with a talent for the Arcane Arts. A physical Standard Edition and a Collector’s Edition are planned for some time after the digital launch, with platform details to come.
