What is Witchbrook?
Witchbrook is a pixel-art witch life sim. You arrive in the seaside town of Mossport as the newest student at Witchbrook College, and your goal is to graduate and build a life in the town. It’s Chucklefish’s fourth in-house game, and Robotality is co-developing it.
When is the Witchbrook release date?
28 January 2027 on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Chucklefish thanked players for their patience “while we took the additional time to make a game we’re truly proud of.”
Is Witchbrook on Game Pass?
Yes. It’s coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one. Chucklefish hasn’t said which tiers yet, so we’ll update this page when it does. It’s also on our Game Pass coming soon list.
How much will Witchbrook cost?
$24.99. Other regional prices, including GBP, will be confirmed closer to launch. You can find it on the Xbox Store now, but pre-orders haven’t opened.

Does Witchbrook have multiplayer?
Yes. Up to four players can play together in online co-op.
Who is Kiara Chandra?
Kiara is one of your covenmates: a sardonic, intelligent post-grad student with an aptitude for the Arcane Arts and a pragmatic approach to the supernatural. Chucklefish says your covenmates’ storylines unfold as your friendships grow.
Witchbrook trailer
The release date trailer shows lessons, spellcasting, studying and the knowledge system, exams, the library, salve and potion-making, tarot readings and some of the magical creatures you’ll meet. It also introduces the ghostly Chancellor, known to students as “The Deadmaster”.
Is there a physical edition?
A physical Standard Edition and a Collector’s Edition are in the works. They’ll arrive a little while after the digital release, and Chucklefish will confirm platforms and contents later.

English, French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
