Total Chaos is out now on Xbox. Our latest news story is GoldenEye 007 and 13 More Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass.
What is Total Chaos?
It’s a first-person survival horror game. After a storm wrecks you on the shore of Fort Oasis, a once-thriving island that is now deserted and decayed, cryptic radio transmissions draw you inland. Over nine chapters you scavenge for materials, craft and upgrade weapons, manage scarce resources and fight creatures with their own deadly behaviours, while notes and encounters piece together the island’s fate and your own fractured past.
Who makes it, and when did it come out on Xbox?
Trigger Happy Interactive and Black Sheep Studio develop it, and the Xbox Store lists Infogrames, Atari and Apogee Entertainment as its publishers. It came out on Xbox on 20 November 2025, and it’s on Xbox Series X|S. You’ll find it on the Xbox Store.
Is Total Chaos leaving Game Pass?
Yes. Total Chaos leaves Xbox Game Pass on Sunday 15 November 2026. It’s in the Leaving soon section of Game Pass in the Xbox app, and the Game Pass data on its Xbox Store listing ends its access on the morning of 16 November (UK time), so 15 November is the last full day to play. Until then it’s included with Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass. Xbox hadn’t announced this batch on Xbox Wire when we checked on 2 November 2026; TrueAchievements reports the same date.
For the full list, see our story: GoldenEye 007 and 13 More Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass. Once it leaves, you’ll need to buy Total Chaos to keep playing, but any achievements you’ve unlocked stay on your profile.
Is it on Xbox Cloud Gaming and Xbox Play Anywhere?
You can stream it with Xbox Cloud Gaming while it’s in Game Pass. It’s also an Xbox Play Anywhere game, so one purchase covers Xbox consoles and PC through the Xbox PC app, with shared progress. The Store lists Xbox cloud saves.
How many achievements does Total Chaos have?
Total Chaos has 37 achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore, according to TrueAchievements.
Everything we’ve written about the game is in one place on our Total Chaos hub, and we’ll keep this page updated if anything changes.
