Silent Horizon is a new turn-based RPG from Baby Bison Games where post-apocalypse meets dark western and weird fiction, and it’s coming to Xbox in Q4 2027. Your main problem is the Red Fog, and it doesn’t play nice.

The independent Polish studio announced the game on Thursday 29 October and named Xbox among its platforms. There’s no Xbox Store listing yet, so you can’t wishlist it there for now.

  • Release window: Q4 2027

  • Genre: Turn-based narrative RPG

What is the Red Fog?

Nobody knows where the Red Fog came from. It swallowed most of the world, and now it comes and goes like the tide, bringing monsters with it. People who walk into it rarely come back, and those who do are never quite the same.

When the Fog seals the gates of Rusty Eden, a trading town full of rival factions, everyone inside is trapped together: raiders, cultists, mercenaries, preachers and couriers, all of whom want the town for themselves. To survive, you’ll need to find work, decide who to trust and work out what the Fog really is.

How does it play?

  • Choices with consequences: faction reputation and personal relationships change how people treat you, what they offer and how the story unfolds
  • A Fog that acts like a living threat: as its strength rises and falls, it changes conversations, places and events
  • Turn-based combat: you fight alongside a companion, and the Fog can tip any battle for or against you
  • Sanity: health isn’t the only thing you can lose

On the game’s IndieDB page, Baby Bison says conversations let you persuade, deceive or intimidate your way through, and that even a failed check can lead somewhere interesting. The art is a hand-drawn comic-book style inspired by Mike Mignola. The studio has a playable prototype and is now preparing for full production. Development is co-funded by the European Union.

Baby Bison Games previously made the narrative survival game Survive the Blackout. You can find more on the official Silent Horizon site.
