When does Shelterra the Skyworld come out?

It launches on 6 November 2026, according to the Xbox Store listing. Pre-orders opened on 30 October 2026, when KEMCO announced the date in a press release.

Which Xbox platforms is it on?

It’s coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Xbox Play Anywhere is confirmed for the standard edition only, so buying the standard edition covers both Xbox consoles and the Xbox app on PC.

How much does it cost?

  • Standard edition: £16.74 / $19.99. It’s £15.06 / $17.99 to pre-order, and that discount runs until 5 November 2026.
  • Special Edition: £24.99 / $29.99. It bundles the game with three add-ons: Experience x3, No Encounters and Damage x2. The pre-order discount doesn’t apply to it.

The add-ons are also sold separately, and KEMCO’s Store listing asks players to avoid buying the same content twice.

Is Shelterra the Skyworld on Game Pass?

No Game Pass release has been announced.

What is the story?

According to KEMCO’s game page, a toxin called Odium crept out of the earth long ago and poisoned the land. The deity Themis ordered four spirits to lift land that Odium hadn’t touched into the sky. Their power spent, the spirits turned into gems called Artifacts and fell into a deep sleep. That floating land became Shelterra.

Claude dreams of becoming a professional adventurer. With his partner Ignis, he takes a job escorting Luna and her party through ancient ruins in search of Artifacts, and learns that Shelterra is falling. When his talking stone turns out to be an Artifact, he joins forces with the Orlok regime to save the floating continent.

How does it play?

  • Exploration: travel freely across the Skyworld and into dungeons
  • Battles: strategic turn-based combat
  • Skills: learn new skills by fighting specific monsters, with informants giving clues about where to find the abilities you need
  • Artifacts: summon them to fight alongside your party, use their abilities, or call on them to protect you from powerful attacks

Does it have achievements?

Yes. There are 21 achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore, according to TrueAchievements and XboxAchievements. Twelve are for story progress, and nine are for registering entries on the Acquisition, Enemy and Skill lists (up to 20 items, 80 enemies and 80 skills).

Who is making it?

MAGITEC is developing the game and KEMCO is publishing it. It’s rated PEGI 7 for mild violence and has in-game purchases.

Everything we know is in one place on our Shelterra the Skyworld hub, and we’ll keep it updated as KEMCO shares more.
