Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, the third and final chapter of Stormind Games’ survival horror trilogy, is out now on Xbox Series X|S for £24.99 / $29.99. The Standard Edition is an Xbox Play Anywhere game, so one purchase covers Xbox and PC.
In Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy you play as Susan. More than a year after six young girls vanished in Sicily, a mysterious recording suggests her missing daughter could still be alive. The search leads her to a decaying noble residence on the slopes of Mount Etna, once owned by the Ashmann family.
How does it play?
Relentless Stalkers hunt you through the villa. You hide, evade and fight back in critical moments, but you can only slow them down or put them out of action for a while. Retrocognition, mirror abilities and moth manipulation let you read forgotten memories, reveal hidden paths and twist the environment, while you search rooms for clues and key items and solve puzzles. The story also uncovers the Cristo Morente, the Sicilian convent where the myth of the Red Nun began.
A first playthrough takes around eight hours. There’s one difficulty level, a single ending and no New Game Plus, and you don’t need to have played the earlier games. HDR isn’t supported at launch.
Cissy Jones voices Susan and Maggie Robertson plays the Red Nun. Akira Yamaoka and Aram Shahbazians wrote the soundtrack.
