If you’re on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, this one’s for you. Epic has confirmed big changes to Fortnite Crew from 5 December 2026 – and because Ultimate includes Crew, those updates land for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox players on the same day without a separate subscription.
The short version: more monthly V-Bucks the longer you stay subscribed, XP boosts for you and your squad, the end of monthly Crew Pack outfits, and a dramatic send-off for the OG Pass. The price stays put. Full details are on Epic’s official Fortnite news post.
Why Xbox Game Pass Ultimate players should care
Fortnite Crew is part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Epic’s Crew page puts it plainly: Ultimate members receive all current Fortnite Crew benefits. So when Crew’s V-Bucks tiers, XP boosts and pack lineup change on 5 December, Ultimate members get the new package too – no extra £9.99 / $11.99 Crew sub on top of Ultimate.
Still sorting the claim side? Our guide covers how to claim Fortnite Crew with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
More V-Bucks the longer you stay
Monthly V-Bucks start at 1,000 and climb with continuous subscription, topping out at 1,600 after 12 months. Epic’s Crew page lists the tiers as:
- Core (1–2 months): 1,000 V-Bucks
- Bronze (3–5 months): 1,200 V-Bucks
- Silver (6–11 months): 1,400 V-Bucks
- Gold (12+ months): 1,600 V-Bucks
That’s a clear bump from the current 800 V-Bucks a month. If you’ve been subscribed recently and resubscribe between 6 December and 31 December 2026 at 11:59 PM ET, your starting tier reflects your most recent continuous subscription over the past 12 months. Existing subscribers don’t need to do anything to keep the subscription when the changes roll out – check the in-game Crew tab on 5 December to see where you land.
XP boosts for you and your squad
Crew members get +20% Fortnite XP. Squad up, and party members without Crew get +10% XP while playing with you. Those boosts don’t stack with each other: one 10% party boost is the cap, no matter how many Crew members are in the lobby.
Crew Packs end; Legacy Styles arrive in December
Monthly Crew Pack outfits are ending, and December’s pack is the final one. Epic will grant all Legacy Styles for Crew Packs you already own – outfits, pickaxes and back blings – in December, whether or not you’re currently subscribed. The final December Crew Pack goes to subscribers throughout December.
OG Pass bows out on 5 December
The OG Pass ends on 5 December with what Epic calls a dramatic conclusion at the end of Chapter 1: OG Season X. The next era of Fortnite OG is lined up for late 2027.
