Assetto Corsa EVO has just dropped its biggest Early Access update so far, bringing a huge amount of new content and some major improvements across the board. Update v0.4 is live now on Steam with a 20 percent discount still running during Early Access.
10 new cars and 5 laser-scanned circuits
KUNOS has added the largest batch of content AC EVO has seen since launch. Ten new cars arrive in this update, covering multiple categories and including the series’ first modern Formula 1 machine, the Ferrari SF-25. There are 13 variants in total, with highlights including the Ferrari F40 LM, Porsche Cayman 718 GT4 RS, BMW M3 CSL, Ferrari Daytona SP3, Peugeot 205 T16, and several versions of the MKIV Supra.
Track fans get an equally strong update: five new laser-scanned circuits, with multiple layouts for each. The additions include the Nordschleife, Nürburgring GP, Monza, Oulton Park, and Road Atlanta. Formula 1 layouts now include proper DRS zones, ready for the SF-25.
Daily Racing arrives with acevo.gg
A big new feature in this update is the introduction of acevo.gg, AC EVO’s new Daily Racing Portal. It lets players browse events and register without opening the game, and then jump straight into servers in one click.
A ranked system called GridRating also launches here, matching drivers with similar skill levels for tighter online racing. Existing SimGrid users keep their highest earned rating, so nobody needs to start from zero.
This is only phase one, with league tools, deeper stats, and tighter game integration planned for later.
Physics, visuals, audio and gameplay all improved
AC EVO’s physics model gets a long list of upgrades in this update. Highlights include a new tyre-damping model, rewritten tyre inertia and slip behaviour, more natural traction and braking feel, improved thermal and wear simulation, and unified hybrid/KERS logic. Cars now react with more believable weight transfer and grip behaviour.
Visuals see updated car materials and improved post-processing, with memory optimisations to help performance. Audio gets updated transmission sounds, turbo behaviour improvements, and a refreshed drivetrain model.
Gameplay quality-of-life additions include lighter replays, improved penalties, more detailed HUD options, cleaner track maps and better multiplayer chat and server browsing.
