Arma Reforger has gone racing. Bohemia Interactive has released the Rally DLC for its Cold War military sandbox, adding single-player time trials and three rally cars, and it’s arrived alongside the free 1.9 Major Update, which overhauls how every vehicle in the game drives.

The DLC costs $7.99, and the 1.9 update is free for everyone, whether or not you buy Rally.

Arma Reforger Rally at a glance

  • Out: Now (5 November 2026)
  • Price: $7.99
  • What you get: Single-player time trials, six tracks, three rally cars
  • Free alongside it: 1.9 Major Update with a full vehicle handling overhaul

What’s in the Rally DLC

Rally adds time trials across six tracks on Everon, Arland and Kolguyev. That means wooded bends, a dash across Arland’s airfield and Kolguyev’s volcanic slopes. The Xbox Store listing puts it neatly: “nothing at all to shoot at.”

There are three cars, each a rally take on a civilian vehicle you’ll already know:

  • Šárka 105 RS: an upgraded 130hp engine, a five-speed gearbox, a wider body kit and a racing steering wheel.
  • Sputnik 600 RS: a lighter, quirkier East German classic with a two-stroke engine.
  • Dana 2001 RS: sits between the two, keeping its Soviet styling, dashboard and steering wheel.

You can customise race conditions, and ghost times give you a run to chase while you learn each route. If you roll your car, AI spectators can help flip it back onto its wheels so you can carry on.

Free 1.9 update: a vehicle overhaul for everyone

The bigger news for most Arma Reforger players is the free 1.9 Major Update. Bohemia has reworked engines, clutches, differentials and wheels, and changed steering, tyres and suspension. Manual driving now asks for more care with the clutch, and better torque distribution helps vehicles with several driven axles cope with rough terrain.

The update also adds support for racing wheels, pedals and gear shifters, including force feedback, along with mouse steering. Steering speed is now the same on keyboard and controller. There are new dust, mud, skid mark and tyre smoke effects too.

Away from the roads, 1.9 also adds:

  • Foliage removal: clear bushes with a shovel, and building bases now clears vegetation in the way.
  • Magazine repacking: combine rounds from compatible magazines.
  • LAV-25 upgrades: a night vision optic, smoke launchers and a rate-of-fire selector, though it now costs more supplies and needs a higher rank.
  • Canteens: restore hydration, which helps stamina and steadies your aim.

More fixes are listed in the full 1.9 changelog. Rally is available now from the Xbox Store.
