Golf With Your Friends 2 won’t make it out this year. Publisher Team17 has pushed the multiplayer mini golf sequel from autumn 2026 into 2027, and there’s no new release date yet.
Team17 confirmed the delay on X this afternoon: “We’re moving the release of Golf With Your Friends 2 from this fall to 2027. We know a lot of you were hoping to hit the courses this year, and we share in that disappointment. We truly appreciate your patience, enthusiasm, and continued support.”
Golf With Your Friends 2 at a glance
- Release: 2027 (was autumn 2026), exact date TBC
- Developer / publisher: Radical Forge / Team17
- Players: Up to 12, locally or online, with crossplay
- Xbox Play Anywhere: Yes
Why the wait?
In a development update linked from the post, the team says getting the full game ready “is taking longer than we expected” and that it won’t hit the autumn window. It also admits this is the second change to the game’s release plans, and says sorry to everyone who was hoping to play this year. A specific 2027 date will be shared “as soon as it’s locked in”.
What’s in Golf With Your Friends 2
Radical Forge’s sequel was re-revealed at the ID@Xbox Showcase in April, when Xbox Wire listed it for autumn 2026 on Xbox Series X|S. It promises six new courses, each with its own twist, from gravity-flipping ramps to an orbital space station, plus a new Chaos Mode where remixed courses fight back. There’s also a revamped level editor, deeper ball customisation and cosmetics unlocked through play, with no purchases required.
The Xbox Store listing confirms Xbox Play Anywhere support, so one purchase covers Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC. It hasn’t been announced for Game Pass, and there’s no price yet. Our Golf With Your Friends 2 game hub has the details.
