Wreckfest is out now on Xbox. Our latest news story is GoldenEye 007 and 13 More Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass.
What is Wreckfest?
It’s a demolition racing game built on a true-to-life crash physics simulation. You race old, banged-up cars on circuits and on crazy courses with intersections and oncoming traffic, or smash rivals in derby arenas. Customisation covers looks, armour and performance parts, and heavier armour changes how a car handles. Challenge modes add vehicles such as lawn mowers and school buses, and online multiplayer supports up to 16 players.
Who makes it, and when did it come out on Xbox?
Bugbear Entertainment develops it, and THQ Nordic publishes it. It came out on Xbox on 27 August 2019, and it’s on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. You’ll find it on the Xbox Store.
Is Wreckfest leaving Game Pass?
Yes. Wreckfest leaves Xbox Game Pass on Sunday 15 November 2026. It’s in the Leaving soon section of Game Pass in the Xbox app, and the Game Pass data on its Xbox Store listing ends its access on the morning of 16 November (UK time), so 15 November is the last full day to play. Until then it’s included with Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and Game Pass Essential, with the separate Windows version in PC Game Pass. Xbox hadn’t announced this batch on Xbox Wire when we checked on 2 November 2026; TrueAchievements reports the same date.
The separate Windows version, Wreckfest (Windows), leaves PC Game Pass on the same day. Unlike most games on this list, the console version is also in Game Pass Essential, so it leaves every tier.
For the full list, see our story: GoldenEye 007 and 13 More Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass. Once it leaves, you’ll need to buy Wreckfest to keep playing, but any achievements you’ve unlocked stay on your profile.
Is it on Xbox Cloud Gaming and Xbox Play Anywhere?
You can stream it with Xbox Cloud Gaming while it’s in Game Pass. It isn’t an Xbox Play Anywhere game: the Windows version is a separate product.
How many achievements does Wreckfest have?
Wreckfest has 20 achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore, according to TrueAchievements. The Windows version has its own separate list of 20 achievements worth 1,000G.
Everything we’ve written about the game is in one place on our Wreckfest hub, and we’ll keep this page updated if anything changes.
