What is Moonlighter?
It’s an action RPG with rogue-lite elements and a shopkeeping twist. You play as Will, who runs the Moonlighter shop in the village of Rynoka but dreams of being a hero. Ancient Gates near the village lead to dungeons full of monsters and treasure, so you raid them for loot, then sell it in your shop, setting prices carefully. The money pays for shop upgrades, new weapons, armour and enchantments from the villagers.
Who makes it, and when did it come out on Xbox?
Digital Sun develops it, and 11 bit studios publishes it. It came out on Xbox on 29 May 2018, and it’s on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. You’ll find it on the Xbox Store.
Is Moonlighter leaving Game Pass?
Yes. Moonlighter leaves Xbox Game Pass on Sunday 15 November 2026. It’s in the Leaving soon section of Game Pass in the Xbox app, and the Game Pass data on its Xbox Store listing ends its access on the morning of 16 November (UK time), so 15 November is the last full day to play. Until then it’s included with Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass. Xbox hadn’t announced this batch on Xbox Wire when we checked on 2 November 2026; TrueAchievements reports the same date.

Is it on Xbox Cloud Gaming and Xbox Play Anywhere?
You can stream it with Xbox Cloud Gaming while it’s in Game Pass. It’s also an Xbox Play Anywhere game, so one purchase covers Xbox consoles and PC through the Xbox PC app, with shared progress. The Store lists Xbox cloud saves.
How many achievements does Moonlighter have?
Moonlighter has 57 achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore, according to XboxAchievements. The XboxAchievements roadmap rates the full 1,000G at 6/10 for difficulty and estimates 25 to 30 hours. Some achievements are missable, including ones for beating bosses in particular ways, so follow a guide if you’re going for them all.
