What is Great God Grove?
It’s a comedy puzzle adventure. Once in a generation the gods come together to postpone the apocalypse, but this time the god of communication has started a series of heavenly fights and vanished. You become the gods’ new mail carrier, and your main tool lets you suck up speech bubbles and fire them at characters to solve puzzles and patch up the gods’ quarrels before the rift in the sky consumes everything.
Who makes it, and when did it come out on Xbox?
LimboLane develops it, and Fellow Traveller publishes it. It came out on Xbox on 15 November 2024, and it’s on Xbox Series X|S. You’ll find it on the Xbox Store.
Is Great God Grove leaving Game Pass?
Yes. Great God Grove leaves Xbox Game Pass on Sunday 15 November 2026. It’s in the Leaving soon section of Game Pass in the Xbox app, and the Game Pass data on its Xbox Store listing ends its access on the morning of 16 November (UK time), so 15 November is the last full day to play. Until then it’s included with Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass. Xbox hadn’t announced this batch on Xbox Wire when we checked on 2 November 2026; TrueAchievements reports the same date.
For the full list, see our story: GoldenEye 007 and 13 More Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass. Once it leaves, you’ll need to buy Great God Grove to keep playing, but any achievements you’ve unlocked stay on your profile.
Is it on Xbox Cloud Gaming and Xbox Play Anywhere?
You can stream it with Xbox Cloud Gaming while it’s in Game Pass. It’s also an Xbox Play Anywhere game, so one purchase covers Xbox consoles and PC through the Xbox PC app, with shared progress. The Store lists Xbox cloud saves.
How many achievements does Great God Grove have?
Great God Grove has 42 achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore, according to TrueAchievements. The TrueAchievements walkthrough estimates 2 to 3 hours for the full list. The walkthrough flags 22 missable achievements, so it’s worth checking before you start.
Everything we’ve written about the game is in one place on our Great God Grove hub, and we’ll keep this page updated if anything changes.
