The Wolf Among Us Remastered Is Out Now on Xbox With a New Noir Mode

The Wolf Among Us Remastered is out now on Xbox. Telltale’s rebuilt version of its Fables detective thriller brings all five episodes back with enhanced visuals, a new black-and-white Noir Mode and a stack of bonus material.

It’s an Xbox One game, playable on Xbox Series X|S through backward compatibility. It costs £20.99 / $24.99, but it’s 20% off at £16.79 / $19.99 until 13 November.

Owners of The Wolf Among Us on Xbox One get a bigger saving. Telltale says digital owners of the original get 50% off the Remastered, applied at checkout.

Back to Fabletown

Based on Bill Willingham’s Fables comics, it casts you as Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, a hidden community of fairy-tale characters living in 1980s Manhattan. You investigate a murder, interrogate suspects and explore crime scenes, and your choices shape whether Fabletown’s residents fear, trust or reject you.

All five episodes are included: Faith, Smoke and Mirrors, A Crooked Mile, In Sheep’s Clothing and Cry Wolf. Telltale co-developed the remaster with Trick Studios, and it’s officially licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on behalf of DC.

• Noir Mode, which plays the whole story in black and white. You can turn it on or off at any time.
• Five fully playable lost scenes.
• An art gallery with more than 100 images.

Your choices carry into The Wolf Among Us 2

If you sign in with a Telltale Account, the choices you make in the Remastered carry over to The Wolf Among Us 2, which Telltale says is due in 2027. You’ll also be able to set your past choices at the start of the sequel.
