Escape the Backrooms’ Lost & Found Update Is Out Now on Xbox With Free and Paid Skins

Escape the Backrooms has a new update on Xbox Series X|S. Lost & Found is out now and adds two free wanderer skins, plus a paid Lost & Found Cosmetic Pack with five more for £4.99 / $5.99.

The two free skins are Lost in Transit and Entity 67. The cosmetic pack unlocks five playable character skins straight away: Remodelling Co. Employee, The Actor, Party Crasher, Misprint and Black Knight.

Lost & Found is the first step in the game’s roadmap for the rest of 2026, and new levels are planned to follow.

What is Escape the Backrooms?

Escape the Backrooms is a co-op horror exploration game for one to four players, based on the Backrooms creepypasta. You explore more than 30 levels, from yellow hallways and echoing pool rooms to hotels and birthday parties, hunting for exits while entities stalk you. They can hear you too, so proximity voice chat cuts both ways.

Your sanity drains the longer you wander, so you need to find exits quickly or drink almond water to keep going. Returning to the Backrooms uncovers secret levels and new endings, and Nightmare Mode turns a single death into a full restart.

The game came to Xbox Series X|S on 28 May 2026, and it’s included with Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass. The Lost & Found Cosmetic Pack isn’t included, so it’s a separate purchase.

Who publishes it?

Escape the Backrooms is developed by Fancy Games and Blackbird Interactive and published by Secret Mode. Secret Mode also published Still Wakes the Deep and Star Wars: Galactic Racer, which launched on Xbox Series X|S on 6 October 2026.
