When is the FUR Squadron Phoenix Xbox release date?

FUR Squadron Phoenix comes out on Xbox Series X|S on Sunday 6 December 2026. The trailer’s end card also says December 2026. No release time has been given yet.

What’s included in the Xbox version?

The Xbox release is the full game with every major post-launch update:

  • Roguelite Campaign: the main campaign. Levels reshuffle on every run, so no two attempts play out the same way.
  • Advanced Mode: a harder run aimed at expert pilots.
  • Boss Gauntlets: boss rush challenges for experienced players.
  • Full Range Combat Missions: a separate story campaign with Full Range Combat gameplay that adds an epilogue to the main quest.

What are the Xbox-exclusive skins?

Xbox players get two ship skins that are exclusive to this version: Kiro’s Master Ship and Axel’s 360 Ship. Raptor Claw hasn’t said yet how they’re unlocked, and the trailer flags them with an “Exclusive Xbox skins” card. We’ll add more detail when the store page is up.

What’s the story and gameplay?

War is coming to the Bist System. With the dangerous Marauders on the move, the Chimera Federation is reinforcing its space fleet, and you play a recruit sent to the renegade FUR Squadron for special training using their virtual reality technology.

The levels are on rails, and the roguelite structure means you unlock abilities and stat upgrades as you go. You can upgrade your ship, pick up weapons including a giant power beam, multi-missile barrages and a nuke strike, and build out skill trees. Battles take place in space, in the air and at sea, against huge bosses and enemy fleets. Completing your squadmates’ challenges unlocks conversations, which reveal more about the crew, and upgrades for the Overdrive power-up.

Who makes FUR Squadron Phoenix?

Raptor Claw is a studio based in Seville, Spain, founded in 2022. It developed and published FUR Squadron Phoenix, and before that made the first FUR Squadron, which has been on Xbox since October 2023. The studio posts updates on its X account. It hasn’t said whether it’s self-publishing the Xbox version or working with a partner.

How much will FUR Squadron Phoenix cost on Xbox?

We don’t know yet. There’s no Xbox Store listing for FUR Squadron Phoenix at the time of writing, so the price in pounds and dollars, pre-orders and Xbox Play Anywhere support are all TBC. We’ll update this page as soon as the listing appears.

Is there a trailer?

Yes. Raptor Claw’s 50-second Xbox announcement trailer shows on-rails flying and space combat, highlights the exclusive Xbox skins and ends on a December 2026 date card.
