Phantom Blade Zero Isn’t Coming to Xbox at Launch: Here’s What S-GAME Has Said

Phantom Blade Zero launches this week without an Xbox version. S-GAME hasn't ruled one out, but no other console gets it for at least 12 months.

Phantom Blade Zero launches this week, and Xbox isn’t on the list. S-GAME hasn’t announced an Xbox version. It hasn’t ruled one out either, but the game’s own small print says no other console gets it for at least a year.

S-GAME’s kungfupunk action RPG Phantom Blade Zero goes live at 02:00 GMT on 29 October (7pm PT on 28 October), according to the studio’s official X account. Reviews went up over the weekend, so a lot of Xbox players are asking the obvious question this week. The answer, for now, is no.

What’s actually been confirmed

The official Phantom Blade Zero site lists a 29 October 2026 release and doesn’t mention Xbox anywhere. The pre-order links S-GAME posted on X on 22 October don’t include an Xbox store either. When we checked the Microsoft Store on 26 October, it had no listing for the game, so there’s nothing to wishlist or pre-order on Xbox consoles or in the Xbox PC app.

At least one big review round-up this week said the game launches on Xbox Series X|S too (Kotaku’s, published 26 October). Nothing from S-GAME supports that, and we’re treating it as an error.

The 12-month window

The game is a timed console exclusive. The fine print at the end of its official trailers, first spotted in December 2025, reads: “Not available on other consoles until at least 12 months after release date.” That makes late October 2027 the earliest Phantom Blade Zero could reach Xbox Series X|S. That’s our own arithmetic, not an announced date. “At least” sets a minimum. It isn’t a promise that an Xbox version will follow.

What S-GAME has said about Xbox

S-GAME’s only direct statement on platforms dates from August 2024. A Brazilian outlet claimed an unnamed developer at ChinaJoy had dismissed Xbox, and the studio replied on X:

“We want to clarify that these claimed statements do not represent S-GAME’s values or culture, as we believe in making our game accessible to everyone and have not ruled out any platforms for Phantom Blade Zero. We are hard at work on both the development and publishing fronts to ensure that as many players as possible can enjoy our game at release and in the future.”

We found no update from S-GAME since then, including from CEO and game director Liang Qiwei. His June 2026 statement on the delay from 9 September to 29 October, reported by GamingBolt, didn’t mention new platforms. The studio’s launch-week posts on X thank players for the “incredible reception” but say nothing about Xbox.

So, is it coming?

Officially, an Xbox version is unannounced. It hasn’t been confirmed and it hasn’t been cancelled. Any talk of a 2027 Xbox release is speculation based on the exclusivity window, not something S-GAME has said. If an Xbox version does get announced, we’ll report it straight away.

Would you wait a year for it on Xbox? Tell us on X or Facebook.
