Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass Soon: Dates, Discounts & Which Ones You Can Finish in Time

Eleven Game Pass entries leave on 31 October and 10 November 2026. Every one is sorted by completion time into Green, Yellow and Red, with UK and US buy-to-keep prices.

Eleven Game Pass entries, covering ten games, are leaving the library in two batches: nine on 31 October 2026 and the two Football Manager 26 editions on 10 November 2026. This page sorts every one of them by how long it takes to finish, so you can decide what to play in the time you have left and what is worth buying instead.

Last checked: 25 October 2026 (UK time). Prices on this page were checked on 25 October. Completion times are estimates from other players, not guarantees.

Games leaving Game Pass: the full list and cutoff dates

Xbox confirmed both batches in its Xbox Wire Game Pass post of 20 October 2026. As of our check on 25 October, no further departures had been announced. We will add any new batch here as soon as Xbox confirms it.

Your cutoff is Saturday 31 October for nine games and Tuesday 10 November for Football Manager 26. Xbox publishes dates rather than a time of day, so treat the end of 31 October (UK time) as the latest you can rely on, and do not plan around the final hour.

Departure dates and the “where it leaves” column come from Xbox Wire. The plan lists come from our game pages and the Game Pass labels on TrueAchievements, cross-checked against Microsoft’s store data. For what each plan includes, see our Xbox Game Pass tiers explained guide.

How we sort them: completion times and the three buckets

We sort by the time it takes to finish the main story, using the median “Main Story” figure from HowLongToBeat (HLTB), which is built from times players submit. Next to it we show the HLTB completionist time and the TrueAchievements (TA) estimate for unlocking every achievement. Both are estimates. Your own time will vary with skill, difficulty and whether you follow a guide.

  • Green: main story under 10 hours.
  • Yellow: 10 to 25 hours.
  • Red: 25 hours or more.
  • Unknown: no reliable figure. We only use an HLTB figure when at least five players have submitted a main-story time. Where there are fewer, we fall back to TA’s estimate for the full achievement list. If neither exists, the game goes in Unknown.

We note an “easy 1,000G” only where TrueAchievements describes the game that way and the full list is worth 1,000 Gamerscore. HLTB lists some of these under the original release of the game, so figures for the remasters are close matches rather than exact.

Green: quick completions (under 10 hours)

These three fit into a single evening or a lazy weekend before the 31 October cutoff.

Game Main story (HLTB) Completionist (HLTB) All achievements (TA) Achievements Notes
Full Throttle Remastered 4.0 hours (260 players) 4.6 hours 2 to 3 hours 40 achievements, 1,000G An easy 1,000G according to TrueAchievements. It has 16 missable achievements, so follow a guide to avoid replays.
Day of the Tentacle Remastered 5.2 hours (401 players) 6.4 hours 2 to 3 hours 58 achievements, 1,000G An easy 1,000G according to TrueAchievements. It has 28 missable achievements, so a guide helps.
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris 5.3 hours (196 players) 13.5 hours 15 to 20 hours 40 achievements, 1,000G The story is a short run, but the full achievement list is much longer, so this is not a quick 1,000G. It supports co-op for up to four players.

Yellow: weekend commitments (10 to 25 hours)

Plan a weekend for these. Grim Fandango Remastered sits just over the 10-hour line.

Game Main story (HLTB) Completionist (HLTB) All achievements (TA) Achievements Notes
Grim Fandango Remastered 10.9 hours (484 players) 12.0 hours 6 to 8 hours 48 achievements, 1,000G Borderline: HLTB puts the story just over 10 hours, while TA’s full-list estimate is shorter. We have filed it by the story time, as with every other game.
Dead Static Drive HLTB has only one submission, so we do not use it One submission: 10.0 hours 10 to 12 hours 15 achievements, 1,000G Filed by TA’s estimate under our fewer-than-five rule. TA’s own roundup article says 15 to 20 hours and warns of missable achievements, so the two TA figures disagree. Both are 10 hours or more.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga 18.5 hours (442 players) 89.6 hours 80 to 100 hours 45 achievements, 1,000G The story fits a long weekend. The full list does not.

Red: too long to start now (25+ hours)

These are long games. If you will not finish them by the cutoff, you can skip them or buy them to keep. Football Manager 26 leaves on 10 November, not 31 October.

Game Leaves Main story (HLTB) Completionist (HLTB) All achievements (TA) Achievements
Deep Rock Galactic 31 Oct 43.1 hours (90 players) 480.0 hours 300 to 500 hours 67 achievements, 1,000G
Wartales 31 Oct 41.9 hours (10 players) 159.5 hours 150 to 200 hours 141 achievements, 2,200G on TA’s listing
Football Manager 26 (PC and Console Edition) 10 Nov 125.1 hours (12 players) 298.0 hours 30 to 35 hours (Console Edition) 44 achievements, 1,000G

Football Manager is open-ended, so its HLTB figure is a guide to a long run rather than the length of a story. Wartales has a small HLTB sample (10 players), and TA’s own pages show different achievement counts for it (64 and 141), so treat its Gamerscore figure with care.

Buy-to-keep prices for the Red games

Prices below were checked on 25 October 2026 on the Microsoft Store UK and US pages and in Microsoft’s store catalogue. The “20% off” column is our calculation of the maximum member discount on the regular price, rounded to the nearest penny or cent. It is not a price we could see in the store, so check your own store page while signed in. See the next section for the rules.

Game UK regular price UK with 20% off UK saving US regular price US with 20% off US saving
Wartales £33.49 £26.79 £6.70 $39.99 $31.99 $8.00
Football Manager 26 (PC) £49.99 £39.99 £10.00 $59.99 $47.99 $12.00
Football Manager 26 Console Edition £49.99 £39.99 £10.00 $59.99 $47.99 $12.00
Deep Rock Galactic £24.99 (on sale at £7.49) £19.99 (calculated, but the sale price is lower) £5.00 $29.99 (on sale at $8.99) $23.99 (calculated, but the sale price is lower) $6.00

Deep Rock Galactic is already on a store sale of about 70% off in both markets, which the store data lists as ending on 28 October. Member discounts cannot be combined with other offers, so the sale price is the one to take. If you wait until after the sale ends, the regular price applies.

Unknown: no reliable figure

Game Leaves What we found Achievements
Wildgate 31 Oct HLTB lists a 19.0-hour main story, but from only two players. TA has no completion estimate on its game page. It is an online multiplayer game, so there is no clear finish line to time. 28 achievements, 1,000G

Until a reliable figure exists, we are not putting Wildgate in a time bucket.

The Game Pass member discount: who gets it and how it works

Xbox’s Game Pass deals page sets out the rules:

  • Who gets it: Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass for Console and PC Game Pass members. It is not available with Game Pass Premium or Essential.
  • How much: “up to 20%” off “select games” in the Game Pass library, so not every game qualifies.
  • What it applies to: Xbox says the discount is based on the Microsoft Store price, cannot be combined with other offers, and excludes titles within 30 days of launch (US page).
  • After a game leaves: Xbox’s wording is to buy “before they leave the Game Pass library”. We found no Xbox statement that the discount carries on afterwards, so assume it stops at the cutoff.

In our check of Microsoft’s store data, only LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga showed a members-only price: £39.99 (regular £49.99) and $47.99 (regular $59.99), which is 20% off both. We could not see a members-only price for Wartales, Football Manager 26 or Deep Rock Galactic when signed out, so treat the Red-table figures as the best case. Premium and Essential members do not get this discount, but may still see ordinary store sales.

Keep playing after they leave

If you buy a game, check whether it is an Xbox Play Anywhere title, which lets you play it on both Xbox console and Windows PC from one purchase. Nine of these ten games are marked as Play Anywhere on our game pages. Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is the exception. Our Xbox Play Anywhere guide explains how it works, including on handhelds. If you planned to stream a game before it goes, our Xbox Cloud Gaming playtime guide covers how much streaming time each plan gives you.
