VOID/BREAKER is a fast first-person roguelite shooter in which you’re trapped in an endless loop by a hostile AI. It’s been playable as a Game Preview on Xbox on PC, and the full 1.0 version launches in November.
When is the VOID/BREAKER 1.0 release date?
VOID/BREAKER 1.0 launches on Wednesday 4 November 2026. The official account announced “VOID/BREAKER 1.0 LAUNCHES NOVEMBER 4” on X on 1 October, and Playstack’s game page lists the same date. When Playstack announced the date, it said the game would leave early development on Xbox Series and on PC via the Microsoft Store, as reported by Gematsu.
Is VOID/BREAKER on Game Pass?
On PC, yes: VOID/BREAKER is already in the PC Game Pass catalogue as a Game Preview. For 1.0, Playstack said the game “will also be available via Game Pass” (again via Gematsu). Xbox hasn’t confirmed the console Game Pass release on Xbox Wire yet, so treat that part as the publisher’s word for now. If it arrives as announced, you can expect it in Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. We’re tracking it in our Xbox Game Pass November 2026 line-up.
Price, editions and Play Anywhere
The current Microsoft Store listing sells the game for £23.99 / $29.99. That listing is the PC Game Preview, and we haven’t yet seen a separate Xbox Series X|S listing on the Store. Xbox Play Anywhere isn’t confirmed, and no deluxe edition has been announced for Xbox.
Who is making VOID/BREAKER?
VOID/BREAKER is a solo project from Daniel Stubbington, who works as Stubby Games. His previous game was The Entropy Centre (2022), a Portal-inspired puzzle game. This time he’s chasing what the Store describes as his passion for “dynamic FPS gameplay and roguelites”. Playstack publishes.
What kind of game is VOID/BREAKER?
You’re the prisoner of an all-seeing AI, forced to “fight, die, and repeat” in an endless sequence. The machines think you’ll never escape, but the game insists escape is possible. Each run is a string of fights and route choices, and the dangerous paths come with bigger rewards.
Key features
- Speed: fluid, high-velocity movement built around outmanoeuvring enemies in relentless gunfights.
- Gun modding: combine mods to build loadouts and chase “wild synergies” that turn you into an unstoppable force.
- Environmental destruction: it isn’t just for show. You can blast through walls, collapse structures and stagger enemies to survive.
- Run choices: pick which fights to take and which paths to push, trading safety for rewards.
Playstack and Stubby Games haven’t yet detailed exactly what’s new in 1.0 compared with the Game Preview, so we’ll add that when they do.
