What is The Orphaned House?
The Orphaned House is a first-person adventure game in which players wake inside a mysterious house with no memory and must uncover its secrets by investigating its rooms and solving environmental puzzles.
Release date and platforms
The Orphaned House is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC, according to the official Xbox Store listing, which notes that it is only available on Xbox Series X|S and is not playable on Xbox One. It supports Xbox Play Anywhere. The Xbox Store does not yet list a release date, and Charm Games has said the game is due in 2027.
Is it on Game Pass?
It is not listed in the Xbox Game Pass catalogue or the Game Pass coming-soon list, and no day-one subscription release has been announced.
Gameplay
The game is built around exploration and observation. Each room is studied for clues, and puzzles are woven into the structure of the house, with players manipulating the environment to solve them. The house responds to the player’s presence and actions as they dig deeper. The Xbox Store lists it as single-player.

Only the standard game is listed on the Xbox Store. It is rated PEGI 7.
Who is making it?
It is developed and published by Charm Games, the studio behind FORM and Twilight Path. It is the studio’s first game that is not made for virtual reality.
