When did Planted! come out on Xbox?
Planted! launched digitally on Xbox Series X|S on 29 October 2026. Read our launch story.
Is Planted! on Game Pass?
No. Planted! isn’t included with any Game Pass tier, so it’s a straight purchase. We’ll update this page if that changes.
How much is Planted!?
It’s £14.99 / $17.99 on the Microsoft Store, which lists a single version of the game.
What kind of game is Planted!?
Cloth Cat Games describes it as “horticultural combat”: part harvesting sim, part sports game. In each match you claim a patch of garden, plant your crops and grow them, then throw the produce at goals to score points, and at the other players. Fertiliser grows colossal crops worth more points, but bigger crops make you a bigger target, and stealing from rivals’ patches is fair game.
There are 12 power-ups, including weed bombs, spud turrets and green clones, and a cast of characters to choose from, each with their own personality and style.
Arenas
There are eight arenas, including windy mountainsides, caves, half-built skyscrapers, volcanoes and farmyards. Each one adds its own twists and challenges.
Modes and multiplayer
Planted! supports one to four players, with local and online multiplayer for two to four. If you’re playing alone, there’s a single-player story mode with challenges and boss battles.

Who makes Planted!?
Planted! is developed by Cloth Cat Games, an independent studio based in Cardiff, and published by Curveball Games, the publishing division of Curveball Leisure Group, which was formed in 2025.
Ben Cawthorne, Creative Producer at Cloth Cat Games, said the game “started as a fun prototype for us to test out our weird and wacky ideas on” and has “become a game the whole team has poured so much heart and soul into.”
