Kojima’s OD – Knock Gets a New Poster “For All Players and Screamers”

Hideo Kojima has shared a new OD Knock poster crediting Sophia Lillis, Udo Kier and Hunter Schafer. It's key art, not a trailer. Here's what it shows.

Hideo Kojima has come knocking again. A new poster for OD – Knock went up on Kojima’s X account in the early hours of Friday 30 October, and its tagline makes a cheery promise: “For all players and screamers”.

The poster for OD was first revealed at Kojima Productions’ 10th anniversary exhibition in Tokyo. The studio’s English account called it “a new visual for OD – KNOCK”, and Kojima shared it himself at 03:42 GMT. Before you go hunting for a play button, this is a poster, not a trailer. Nothing new in motion has turned up on Kojima Productions’ or Xbox’s channels alongside it.

What’s on the poster?

It’s a tall, stripped-back image. A short-haired figure in pale clothes stands against a bare wall, looking up at a red broom poking into the top of the frame. The tagline runs down the middle in widely spaced capitals, with “A Hideo Kojima Game”, the OD logo and the Knock subtitle at the bottom.

The billing credits Sophia Lillis, Udo Kier and Hunter Schafer, the three leads named when Kojima Productions and Xbox Game Studios announced OD at The Game Awards in December 2023. The tagline isn’t new either: “For all players and screamers” also topped OD’s original key art from that reveal.

Along the bottom are logos for Xbox, MetaHuman, 3Lateral, Unreal Engine and Kojima Productions. The 2023 key art had an Xbox Game Studios logo in the same spot.

Kier died in November 2025. In a tribute on X at the time, Kojima wrote that a strike had stopped the team shooting OD for a long time, and that Kier had told him how much he was looking forward to the shoot starting up again.

Where is OD up to?

OD is Kojima’s horror project with Xbox Game Studios. When it was revealed, Kojima said the studio was working with Xbox’s cloud gaming technology on “a very unique, immersive, and totally new style of game – or rather, a new form of media”. Academy Award-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele is one of several storytellers involved. The Knock subtitle arrived with a teaser trailer at Kojima Productions’ Beyond The Strand event in September 2025.

The latest official update came at the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 Broadcast in September, when Kojima showed behind-the-scenes footage of Lillis and Schafer in a performance capture session. A week earlier, Xbox announced it will also publish PHYSINT, Kojima Productions’ action-espionage game, expanding a relationship that already included OD.

There’s still no release date, and Xbox hasn’t said anything about Game Pass. The rest is in OD: everything we know.

Knock, knock

The exhibition where the poster was unveiled, Beyond The Strand, opens at Azabudai Hills Gallery in Tokyo on Saturday 31 October and runs until 20 December. Kojima Productions has built a full-size copy of the red door from the OD – Knock teaser there. Visitors hear a knock, then a card drops through the gap, just like in the trailer. Props used during filming are also on public display for the first time.
