When does Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish come out?
It’s due in summer 2027, according to Teyon’s game page and Xbox Wire, which covered its reveal in March 2026. There’s no exact date yet.
Which Xbox platforms is it on?
It’s coming to Xbox Series X|S. The Xbox Store listing also includes Xbox Play Anywhere, so one purchase should cover Xbox and the Xbox app on PC. You can wishlist it now.
How much will it cost?
NACON hasn’t announced a price, and the Store listing doesn’t show one yet.
Is Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish on Game Pass?
No Game Pass release has been announced.
What is the story?
Years after a terrible childhood event, you’ve moved to New York to start again. Then your childhood friend reappears, and you find out that the shadows hide very real monsters. You become a Hunter, an ordinary person standing between innocent lives and creatures far more powerful than you.
You won’t be alone. Other humans have seen the truth and formed a Cell, and each companion has their own story, trauma and creed. Your safe house is an old bar, which grows into a hideout for the Cell as the story goes on.
How does character creation work?
Teyon showed the character creator on 30 October 2026, as part of White Wolf’s Month of Darkness, in a video presented by Game Director Piotr Łatocha.
- Looks: start from preset models, then sculpt your Hunter’s build, hair, clothing, tattoos and scars
- Tabletop rules: character building adapts the Hunter: The Reckoning tabletop RPG’s 5th Edition rules, with a prebuilt archetype or a build from scratch
- Attributes and skills: points in attributes such as Strength unlock tiers in skills such as Brawl, Melee and Intimidation
- Dice rolls: skill checks are resolved by dice, so a charismatic Hunter can talk their way out of a fight
- Strengths and weaknesses: you choose them at the start (NACON calls them virtues and flaws; the Store listing says merits and flaws)
How do you hunt?
Knowledge is a weapon. Each clue you find about your quarry gives you an advantage, and you can spy, infiltrate, hack, threaten or steal to get it. You can also lean into diplomacy, stealth or occult knowledge. When it comes to a fight, you’ll want more than your fists: the Store listing mentions studded baseball bats, silver blades, guns and other tools from shady sellers. Every decision has consequences.
Who is making it?
Teyon is developing the game and NACON is publishing it. Teyon’s earlier dev diary with narrative designer Mateusz Działowski explains how the team adapted the tabletop system.
Everything we know is in one place on our Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish hub, and we’ll keep it updated as Teyon shares more.
