Playground Games is pulling the 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior from Forza Horizon 6‘s Rivals Leaderboards. From tomorrow, 27 October, the car can’t set times there, and every existing leaderboard entry set in it will be removed over the next few days. It comes back with the Series 7 update on 2 November.
The news came from the official Forza Support account on X this evening. It’s a server-side change, so there’s nothing to download.
Starting tomorrow in Forza Horizon 6, we are temporarily restricting the 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior from scoring times on Rivals Leaderboards (and over the next few days, we are removing all existing leaderboard entries that use this car). This is a server-side change only, so no download is required.
With the Series 7 update on November 2, we will introduce a performance fix for this car, and it will be visible again on Rivals Leaderboards. Details will be in the release notes posted on November 2. As always, thank you for your feedback and understanding!

Why the Ginetta is being removed
Officially, Forza Support hasn’t given much detail. It calls the coming change a “performance fix” for the car and says the full details will be in the release notes on 2 November. It hasn’t said what was wrong, and it hasn’t replied in the thread with more.
Players have a pretty clear idea, though. These are player reports, not confirmed by Playground. The G40 Junior arrived as a 20-point Summer reward in the British Automotive series in September. Stock, it’s a modest 100hp, rear-wheel-drive B 560 racer. Within days, a Reddit post on r/ForzaHorizon6 called it “the new Meta for literally anything”, saying it can take almost all the top engine swaps. The poster also said that swapping off its default slick tyres drops its PI by about 60 points while keeping most of the grip, which leaves a light car with plenty of room for power.
The leaderboards support that. On the player-run tracker FHStats, all of the top 12 times on The Goliath in A 700 were set in the Ginetta when we checked on 26 October.
What’s changing and when
- 27 October: the Ginetta G40 Junior stops scoring times on Rivals Leaderboards
- Over the next few days: all existing Ginetta entries are removed
- 2 November: the Series 7 update adds the performance fix and the car returns to Rivals, with release notes the same day
What we know about Series 7
Not a lot yet. In its Horizon Meets blog, Playground said the next update is themed around City Life. It brings two new permanent race routes in Tokyo, three new-to-Horizon cars to unlock from the Festival Playlist and a new EventLab Prop Pack. The current Horizon Meets Festival Playlist runs until 5 November.
