When can I pre-install GTA 6 on Xbox?
Rockstar says pre-loading on Xbox Series X|S “begins globally on Tuesday, November 10 at 12 a.m. GMT”. That’s midnight in the UK, and 7pm ET / 4pm PT on Monday 9 November in the US.
It’s two days earlier than the 12 November date previously shown to people who pre-ordered, which we reported in our GTA 6 Game Pass and pre-load guide.
Boxed copies contain a download code rather than a disc. Rockstar says they should be in shops from 12 November, and you can pre-install once the code is redeemed.
How big is the GTA 6 download?
Rockstar says the pre-load file “will require up to 212 GB depending on your device, so make sure you’ve got ample space to begin pre-loading as soon as possible.” The Xbox Store hasn’t listed a final install size yet.
GTA 6 editions and prices on Xbox
The Xbox Store lists two editions:
- Grand Theft Auto VI: £69.99 / $79.99
- Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition: £89.99 / $99.99, adding premium vehicles, weapons, apparel and in-game extras across Jason and Lucia’s story
Standard Edition owners can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately for £20 / $20. Buying before the end of 19 November also gets you the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+, Rockstar’s own membership.
GTA 6 isn’t part of Game Pass, and no Game Pass deal has been announced.
