No Game Pass deal has been announced. We’ll update this page if that changes.

What is the story?

You play as Agni, an investigator from a special unit of a secret agency. Driven by regret, she disobeys orders to search for her missing partner inside Desa Purba, a remote and forbidden Indonesian village. Every alley, shrine and crumbling home hides traces of rituals, fear and secrets people are willing to kill to protect.

The rogue mission pulls Agni deeper into violence, obsession and psychological collapse as guilt pushes her to the limit. Trauma, grief and fear of abandonment sit at the centre of the story, and the village itself bends and decays as her mind unravels.

How does AGNI: Village of Calamity play?

It’s a single-player survival horror game built around scarce resources. Ammunition and healing items are limited, so every encounter is a choice between fighting and fleeing. Between fights you explore Desa Purba, examine evidence, reconstruct events and solve environmental puzzles.

Grotesque creatures and relentless pursuers stalk Agni through streets, corridors and fields, and the combat leans on the slasher-style violence of Indonesian horror films. Wired Productions pitches it at fans of classic survival horror, with deliberate pacing and constant tension.

Is AGNI: Village of Calamity scary?

It’s aimed at mature players. It includes grotesque creatures, body horror, graphic violence and scenes exploring trauma and guilt. It’s rated M (Mature) by the ESRB.

What’s in the latest trailer?

The latest gameplay trailer was revealed on 29 October 2026 at gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show, where the game is also playable. It’s set to ‘Blood and Bones’, an original dark country and rock song written and performed by A. Crow for Black Razor Records, Wired Productions’ in-house label and the team behind the soundtrack. Read our trailer story, or listen to ‘Blood and Bones’.

Who makes AGNI: Village of Calamity?

Separuh Interactive is an independent studio from Indonesia that aims to blend animation with interactive storytelling. Wired Productions is publishing the game.
