Gears of War

Gears of War is a third-person shooter from Epic Games that follows Marcus Fenix and Delta Squad as humanity fights back against the Locust Horde on the planet Sera. Its cover-based combat, with soldiers ducking behind walls and debris, became the series’ trademark, along with the chainsaw bayonet on the Lancer assault rifle.

The campaign can be played solo or in two-player co-op, and competitive multiplayer pits teams of COG soldiers against the Locust. It’s the first game in the Gears of War series.
