Warhammer Survivors brings 40-plus Warhammer champions to Xbox Series X|S on 10 November 2026, and its publisher says it’s coming to Game Pass. Here’s everything we know so far.

Warhammer Survivors at a glance

  • Release date: Tuesday 10 November 2026
  • Platforms: Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC (Xbox Play Anywhere)
  • Game Pass: Game Pass Ultimate, per Auroch Digital (not yet on Xbox Wire)
  • Price: £6.39 / $7.99 (Auroch Digital; not yet priced on the Microsoft Store)
  • Developer and publisher: Auroch Digital, in partnership with Warhammer and poncle
  • Genre: Roguelite survivors-style action
  • Age rating: PEGI 7

Warhammer Survivors is a fast-paced roguelite survivors game that pits iconic Warhammer characters against endless hordes of enemies. It’s developed by Auroch Digital, the Bristol studio behind Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, in partnership with Warhammer and poncle, the team behind Vampire Survivors. That’s a fairly strong pedigree for a game about mowing down Tyranids with a chainsword.

When is the Warhammer Survivors release date?

Warhammer Survivors launches on Tuesday 10 November 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, according to Auroch Digital’s game page and the studio’s release date announcement on X on 6 October. The Microsoft Store listing is live but still shows a placeholder release date.

Is Warhammer Survivors on Game Pass?

Yes, according to the publisher. When Auroch Digital announced the release date on 6 October, it said the game “will also be available via Game Pass”, as reported by Gematsu. Xbox hasn’t confirmed it on Xbox Wire yet, and Auroch’s own game page no longer mentions Game Pass, so treat this as the publisher’s announcement until Xbox lists it. A Game Pass launch like this would land in Game Pass Ultimate. It’s part of our Xbox Game Pass November 2026 line-up.

Price, pre-orders and Play Anywhere

Auroch Digital lists the game at £6.39 / $7.99, with a 10% launch and pre-order discount “on select platforms”. It hasn’t said whether that discount applies on Xbox. At the time of writing, the Microsoft Store page doesn’t show a price or a pre-order option, and there’s only one version listed, with no deluxe editions announced.

The Microsoft Store listing does confirm Xbox Play Anywhere, so one purchase covers Xbox Series X|S and the Xbox PC app.

What kind of game is Warhammer Survivors?

It’s a “survivors-like”: you move, your weapons fire automatically, and the screen fills with enemies. Auroch describes it as becoming “the embodiment of bullet hell”. On each run you collect weapons and power-ups, mix and match them, and evolve them into “devastating new forms” for screen-clearing storms of bullets, blades and magic.

Death isn’t the end. Meta progression unlocks a growing roster of characters, weapons, abilities and rare relics between runs. Auroch also promises secrets and collectables to find.

Setting, factions and characters

You pick a universe, Warhammer 40,000 or Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, and fight across stages ranging from the ashen plains of Aqshy to the cramped corridors of an abandoned Space Hulk. Each stage has its own enemy faction, including the Tyranid swarm and the Skaven of Age of Sigmar. Auroch’s social posts have also teased a Carnifex and the Ork gretchin Makari.

Auroch says there are more than 40 playable champions, each with unique weapons and starting stats. Characters confirmed so far include:

  • Malum Caedo, the Space Marine Sternguard Veteran and hero of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun
  • Trooper Kozlowski, a Cadian Shock Trooper
  • Brother Luca, a Space Marine Intercessor
  • Neave Blacktalon, the lightning-forged Stormcast
  • Gotrek Gurnisson, the monster-slayer
  • Sharynn Azurwrath, a Stormcast Eternal Vanquisher with a Celestial Greatsword
  • Morvenn Vahl and Lyssa Revenya, revealed by Auroch on 7 October

Weapons include the Boltgun, Astartes Chainsword and Whirlwind Axes, plus a pot of Citadel Nuln Oil paint for when all else fails.

Modes

Auroch promises “multiple modes and stages” from across the 41st Millennium and the Mortal Realms, but it hasn’t named or detailed the modes yet. It’s a single-player game, according to the Microsoft Store.
