Day of the Tentacle Remastered

Day of the Tentacle Remastered is Double Fine’s remaster of the 1993 LucasArts sequel to Maniac Mansion. Bernard, Hoagie and Laverne are scattered across three time periods and work together to stop Purple Tentacle from taking over the world. It has new high-resolution hand-drawn art and remastered audio, and you can switch back to the classic look whenever you like. The Xbox version was brought over by Shiny Shoe.

It’s a time travel cartoon puzzle adventure, and the whole mess starts with Dr Fred’s mutated tentacle. There’s a concept art browser and a commentary track with the original creators, Tim Schafer and Dave Grossman among them. The original marketing called it zany, and for once the marketing was right.
