Cloudy with Games is an independent site about GeForce NOW and cloud gaming. This page explains how we decide what to publish, where our information comes from, and what happens when we get something wrong. (It will happen. We stream games from a data centre; we are not infallible.)

Who we are

The site is run by Duncan Baxter in the UK, alongside the Cloudy with Games YouTube channel. Duncan is responsible for everything published here, and his name is on every article.

Independence

We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or paid by NVIDIA, Valve, Microsoft, Amazon, Epic Games, Ubisoft, EA, GOG or any other platform, publisher or store. GeForce NOW is NVIDIA’s trademark, and we use it only to say what we are writing about.

We don’t run ads or affiliate links at the moment. If that ever changes, or if we write about something we were given (a review code, for example), we will say so clearly in the article.

Where our news comes from

We only report something as fact when we can point to a source we trust. In practice that means:

  1. Official announcements from NVIDIA, including the weekly GFN Thursday posts and GeForce NOW support pages.
  2. Publisher and developer announcements, such as press releases, official blogs and verified social accounts.
  3. Store pages on Steam, the Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, Ubisoft Connect, GOG and the EA app, for release dates, prices and editions.
  4. Our own testing, when we have played the game on GeForce NOW ourselves.

Rumours and leaks are labelled as rumours, with the source named. They are never listed as confirmed availability.

How our game statuses work

Every game page shows one GeForce NOW status:

  • Available now: you can stream it on GeForce NOW today.
  • Coming soon: NVIDIA or the publisher has confirmed it is coming to the service.
  • Opted in: the publisher has allowed the game on the service, but there is no confirmed date yet.
  • Not on GeForce NOW: it isn’t on the service.

Where it matters, we also note which membership tier can play a game: all tiers, or Performance and Ultimate only. Statuses are updated when a source changes them, not when the internet gets excited.

News, guides and opinion

  • News reports what has happened, with sources.
  • Guides and fixes are tested steps for getting something working. If a step stops working, tell us and we will check and update it.
  • Opinion, reviews and features are clearly labelled. They are the honest view of the writer, based on actually playing the game. Review scores reflect how a game plays, including how it plays on GeForce NOW. Nobody can pay for a better score.

How we use tools

We use software tools to help with research, checking dates and tidying copy. A person decides what is published, checks the facts against the sources above, and takes responsibility for the result.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Please tell us through our Contact page with the article link and what needs correcting.

When we correct a factual error, we:

  1. update the article as soon as we have checked the correction;
  2. add a note at the foot of the article saying what changed and when, for example “Correction, 21 October 2026: an earlier version said this game was available on all tiers. It requires a Performance or Ultimate membership.”;
  3. update any related game page or release calendar entry.

Small fixes such as typos, broken links or formatting are made without a note. If a story turns out to be fundamentally wrong, we say so at the top of the article rather than quietly deleting it.

Updates

News moves fast and release dates move faster. When we add new information to a story, we change the “updated” date and mention what was added.
