Portal RTX Coming to GeForce NOW this week

It has been announced that Portal with RTX, a new version of the classic first-person platformer video game Portal, will be coming to GeForce NOW this week. This new version features updated graphics with full ray tracing and new art, and will be available for free to existing Portal owners. The announcement came as part of the 4080 updates coming to GeForce NOW in the coming weeks and months ahead.

Portal is a classic first-person platformer video game that was released in 2007 as part of Valve’s Orange Box. The game has since gained a large following and is widely regarded as one of the best video games of all time. Portal’s gameplay and award-winning script, which features the beloved antagonist GLaDOS, has stood the test of time. It is one of my favourite games and this update is free to people who already own Portal.

The new version of Portal with RTX features stunning full ray tracing, new high-resolution physically based textures, and enhanced high-poly models. Performance is improved with NVIDIA DLSS 3, which allows the game to run smoothly, and system latency is minimized using NVIDIA Reflex. The RTX version of Portal was built collaboratively by NVIDIA Lightspeed Studios.
