LG TVs add Luna plus adds support @ 4K for GFN

LG is set to enhance the convenience and premium gaming experience on its latest TVs through the implementation of a dedicated gaming hub and support for cloud gaming services such as Amazon Luna and NVIDIA GeForce NOW. The addition of these features will allow users to access a range of gaming titles from leading partners, including Blacknut, Utomik, and Luna and Boosteroid, without the need for downloads or additional hardware. Thanks to Trzarector for the tip.

GeForce NOW, NVIDIA’s open cloud gaming service, allows users to stream their favorite PC titles at high resolution and with ultra-low latency. LG TV owners will be among the first to experience 4K gameplay at 60 FPS on the big screen, with support for the service rolling out to select models later this year. Ultimate members of GeForce NOW will be able to stream at up to 4K resolution and 60 FPS on supported LG TVs.

In addition to GeForce NOW, LG’s latest TVs will also support Amazon Luna, a cloud gaming service that offers a range of games for all types of players, including AAA titles, retro side-scrollers, family games, and more. Amazon Prime subscribers will also have access to exclusive and free-to-play titles through the Prime Gaming channel.

“Already available in FHD on 2021 and 2022 LG TVs running webOS 6.0 or above, GeForce NOW is now streaming on 2020 models, and will start streaming in 4K on select models later this year, LG TV owners being among the first to stream impressively smooth, highly immersive 4K gameplay at 60 FPS, on the big screen with just a compatible controller.”

The new webOS UI and dedicated gaming hub on LG’s latest TVs will provide a more personalized gaming experience through features such as the Game Optimizer and genre-specific picture settings. These TVs also offer smooth gameplay thanks to their superior image quality, ultra-fast response time, and low input lag.
