Can I Use My PlayStation Controller with Apple Vision Pro and GeForce NOW?

Yes, you can use your PlayStation controller with your Apple Vision Pro and GeForce NOW. Just like with Xbox controllers, the Vision Pro supports pairing with various Bluetooth devices, including popular gamepads from Sony’s PlayStation consoles.

Which PlayStation Controllers are Compatible?

Vision Pro is compatible with the following PlayStation controllers:

  • DualShock 4 wireless controller (from the PlayStation 4)
  • DualSense wireless controller (from the PlayStation 5)

How to Pair Your PlayStation Controller

  1. Put your controller into pairing mode:
    • DualShock 4: Press and hold the PS button and the Share button simultaneously until the light bar starts flashing.
    • DualSense: Press and hold the PS button and the Create button (small button to the left of the touchpad) simultaneously until the light bar pulses blue.
  2. Open Settings on your Vision Pro: Go to the Bluetooth settings.
  3. Select your controller: Your PlayStation controller should appear in the list of available devices. Tap on it to connect.
  4. Follow any on-screen instructions: You might be asked to confirm the pairing.

Using Your Controller with GeForce NOW

After successfully pairing your PlayStation controller with your Vision Pro, it will function seamlessly within GeForce NOW. Simply launch GeForce NOW via the Safari browser (as detailed in previous articles), choose a game, and you can control it using your PlayStation controller.

Important Note: While you can use the Vision Pro’s hand tracking to navigate the GeForce NOW interface, a physical controller, such as your PlayStation gamepad, is necessary to play the games themselves.

In Summary

Your PlayStation controller is an excellent choice for playing games on GeForce NOW with your Apple Vision Pro. The pairing process is straightforward, and once connected, you’ll enjoy a familiar and comfortable gaming experience.
